Adipurush: Hindu Mahasabha called Saif Ali Khan's look in 'Adipurush' as 'terrorist Khilji', BJP also protested
Saif Ali Khan is going to be seen in the role of Lankesh Ravana in the film 'Adipurush'. There has been a controversy regarding Saif's look in the film. BJP has also objected to Saif's look, after Hindu Mahasabha.
The teaser of the film 'Adipurush' starring superstar Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan has been released a day earlier. This film was awaited for a long rum of time. Although it is being criticized a lot after the release of the teaser, but its opposition has also started. Now 'Hindu Mahasabha' has also jumped into this controversy.
There is controversy over Saif's look
In fact, as soon as the teaser of the film was released, its lead actors especially Saif Ali Khan's Ravana look is being criticized and ridiculed on social media. Saif's character Lankesh Ravana's look is not being liked at all and it is being compared to Aurangzeb and Alauddin Khilji.
Chakrapani Maharaj expressed displeasure
After much criticism on social media, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has condemned Saif Ali Khan's look in the film. President of the Mahasabha, Chakrapani Maharaj said, “Saif Ali Khan in the role of Lankapati Ravana, a devotee of Lord Shiva, has been portrayed as a terrorist Khilji, Genghis Khan or Aurangzeb. There is neither a tilak on the forehead of Shiva devotee Lankesh nor Tripunda. Such tampering with our mythological characters will not be tolerated.
BJP spokesperson also protested
Apart from Chakrapani, BJP spokesperson Malvika Avinash has also criticized Saif Ali Khan's look in the film in one of her posts. He wrote, 'Ravan of Valmiki Ramayana and history, Lankadhapati, Shiva devotee who was well versed in 64 arts, who got all the 9 planets installed in his throne. What was the need to make such a cartoon in the film? I agree that this is Taimur's father but Bollywood people are so stupid who can't do a little research.
Director of 'Adipurush' has won the National Award
Let us tell you that Adipurush has been directed by director Om Raut. Om Raut is a National Award winning director and his film 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' has also received the National Award. Superstar Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan starrer 'Adipurush' is scheduled to release in theaters on 12 January 2023 next year.
